Dr. Oswald Cameron-Morales was born in 1951 in Trinidad & Tobago migrating with his parents to Puerto Rico soon after. The second of five children he followed his father's footsteps , a career in Dentistry. " I grew up watching my father practice dentistry with a great sense of quality, care, humility and professionalism. He demonstrated that dentistry was a mission to promote prevention , restoration and maintainance of oral health. Graduating from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington ,D.C. in 1979 he practice dentistry in Puerto Rico until moving to Washington, D.C. in 1987 were he established a private practice. Other than his clinical practice Dr. Cameron has expanded his profession to include: Dental Director for Advantage Health Plans, Inc. ,an insurance company; President of the Hispanic Dental Association of the Washington Metropolitan Area, Volunteer at the Spanish Catholic Center, a local non-profit health clinic and participation in numerous community organizations. In 1999 he was appointed by the city's Mayor to the Board of Dentistry ending his 3rd term in January 2008. He is a member of the North East Regional Board of Examiners which administers the licencing exam for dentistry and dental hygiene for 15 northeaster states. Dr. Cameron's dental practice has its mission to serve the community by providing not only clinical services in his dental office but also guiding those in need to area fascilities that can provide dental or medical health care at an affordable or free cost. Fluent in spanish and english his practice serves a multicultural community. Since 1998 he his a volunteer in ECUADENT, a non-profit organization, as a dentist traveling to Ecuador (South America) and Dental Director for The Healing Hands Foundation providing dental care to the children in need overseas.
